Faux Agate Bracelet

Inspiration not duping. There's a difference. Inspiration-I like what I see and would like to try something similar.  DupingIntentionally making something as close to the original as possible.

Hard to believe but, this bracelet is rock hard and none of the shells are falling off. Maybe I should add a necklace and earrings.😏
P.S.  Next time I'm trying Epsom Salts as the stones.

Woman in a Can

A companion for the Tin Can Man

1. Coffee can, cookie can, tuna can, wire, hot glue
2. I had all of these keys and so I thought I'd make a skirt for
    Tin Can Woman  (TCW)
3.  Key skirt
4.  Premature Tin Can Woman.

 Back to the drawing board

I used spoons, wire, keys, old jewelry, nuts, bolts, electrical tape, mini Altoid tin, craft chain, discarded man's ring and silver paint.

To give it a uniform look I sprayed it with silver paint.  It also covers up some of the glue. Very pleased with the outcome.

Domino Necklace

You know what they say, "Go big or go home."
My going big was to make a Domino necklace just for fun to wear to my first  Seniors Masters Tournament.

  1.  I usually will lay out things I plan to use in a craft project. The Dominoes were only $1 at the Dollar Store.  They measure about 1 1/4 x 1/2 inch. I wrapped the ones I didn't use in the plastic wrap you see and placed them in one of my craft bins. I didn't want them all over the place. I used a drill with a small bit to put holes in the tops of five dominoes. I also got the bit stuck in the drill and can't get it out.☹️ That's another story.
2. Since the pips were varicolored, I used a  white Sharpie to cover them.
3. I took 4 rhinestone sets from the roll of rhinestones (I'd bought it for another project and couldn't use it.) to make the bar between the pips. Individual rhinestones were used for each pip.
4. I decided to use a pearl necklace I'd begun some time ago and a remnant of chain I had for the necklace.

5. I placed the dominoes in equal places on the pearl portion.

6.  I measured where I wanted my necklace to fall. I attached the pearl section to the chain with jump rings. Then placed the lobster clasp on the back.

I was satisfied with the outcome of the necklace. The only thing I had to buy were the dominoes.  I guess you'd say it cost me $1.10.

No More Wristlets

 ...for a while.

I've turned my handbag crafting and sewing to cross body bags. I'm going for a "boho" style or another way of saying Bohemian.

Here are 5 of the eight purses I prepared for a craft show that took place this month.
In the world of small purses when carrying the merest of essentials, cross body purses seem to be the preference. If I plan to make any sales, I've got to give the people what they want.

Here in Alabama, football is a MAJOR focus. You must declare a team once you step across the state line.  Alabama and Auburn are the main teams.
I've never been a sports fan of any type but, numerous  friends suggested that I make a few cross body bags for the football fans out there. I took their advice.  Here's the first one I did featuring  The University of Alabama.

I didn't use everything below but, some or none.

                                                                 NEXT UP
BLUE and GRAY and Beige tapestry with beige cording cross body strap, silver button closure, decorative button and stitching on the back
                                                    ***
ORANGE, GREEN and DUSTY ROSE cross body bag with silver chain strap.
                                                 ***
Another Alabama bag with cream faux leather, hand stitiching on the side, Alabama "A" cheerleader on the back with rhinestone and ruby pom poms, tulle skirt, button and tie footwear. Black chain strap. Black, silver and while beads and trinkets.
                                                ***

GREEN BROCADE with raised gold threading throughout. Gold cord and chain cross over strap. Velcro closing
I have to admit, the green one is my favorite.

Below is my first attempt at posting my own video.  I'm only showing my table of crafts. You'll notice that I also have door/knob pillows left over from Christmas.  I wrote about that in a previous post.
