SHORT: French Press Coffee

French Press Coffee

My friend RM, a fellow coffee drinker, gifted me with a French Press coffee pot with two matching coffee mugs and a roasted bag of coffee.

I've never used a French Press so I went to a trusted source for directions. After viewing several YouTube videos 😉 I tried it.

Part 1-:44 sec.

Part 2- :54 sec.

After it was all said and done, I have to admit the coffee had a smooth taste. I was able to drink the whole cup without cream and I always add some form of cream to my coffee. However, all of the prep `a- la- YouTube is more than I'd like to do. I may do this from time to time , just not everyday. Thanks RM for expanding my coffee horizon.

* I discovered I should have said "grounds" instead of "grinds" when I referred to the spent coffee residue.

That's it ☕☕☕

Follow up: Faux Leather Redo now with shoes

Remember Faux Leather Redo

It was the peeling purse that got a make over?    After that makeover I decided to get shoes to match.

I purchased these inexpensive white stretchy sandals from a local shop.

I used the same leather paint that I used on the purse. (Neither the purse nor shoes are leather but, this product works great.)

After painting and allowing the shoes to dry, I blinged them up with some fake rhinestones and jewels.
Here's a close up. I used E-6000 to glue on the bling.
Unfortunately, I didn't get to wear the shoes to the affair I'd bought them for because...

It
      SNOWED🌨

Solar Water Fountain

The sound of bubbling water and watching birds enjoy  it is relaxing. I'd seen   solar fountains on  YouTube and was surprised that they actually run by solar energy.  There are two types; the disk (as shown in the photo) and a solar panel type with a cord that can be adjusted so that it can get the most sun. The prices of both styles can range from inexpensive to pricy.

I chose a frugally priced (cheap) disk model from Amazon.   Before it arrived I began constructing in my head how I wanted to display it.

This  black plastic  planter tray from Lowe's will be painted a bronze color and sealed.

It would match the bronze pitcher I already had from a previous yard decoration.

The colors weren't perfectly matched but close enough for me.

The following items were inside the box when it arrived.

Taking it for a test drive

Now, to set everything up where I want it and the final  results.

It works perfectly. 😎 The clear glass gems  I added didn't display the way I thought they would but, I left them inside the saucer.  A couple of rocks inside the saucer will serve  as a bird perch.
