Dried flowers and Greenery-SHORT

It was a  beautiful basket of flowers sent in condolence.  The colors were so bright and cheerful even at a gloomy time.

I've dried hydrangea blooms before . I decided to try my hand at these.

Greenery and blooms were dried for about 8 weeks.

The Results

The fragile flowers were unable to withstand

drying. Nor did I want to try pressing them inside a book. The roses did well.

                                                                            Greenery and what was a red rose. The greenery took on a silvery, sage hue. 

I may place a few glass beads in the bottom of each vase.

Minimalist Flower Bed

 I was ready for a change. 

Trimming shrubbery has become a chore.  I needed something more manageable.  After looking around and on the NET I found what I wanted. I got the best inspiration from the yards of a relative and a neighbor.

Here are the inspirations from neighbor and relative.

Now to get the work done  

Shout out to GP for the great landscaping.

And finally, it's done.  Everything is the  the way I wanted it. Weeds abated. Three knock out roses🌹 and potted plants; mum🌻and rosemary.  These  are easy to keep and  can also be swapped out. The Shepherd's Hook will be used at a later date.
